The trend of storytelling has changed, it opens up the opportunity to all creators, as long as you have a creative mind you can create your story in multiple formats such in write, visual or video. Creators are living in the best time where storytelling has no border and limits.

The latest trend among published authors and indie writers alike is releasing shorter works. This serves several purposes. The first is to introduce yourself to an audience that may not know you exist. Your work can't reach its readers if no one knows who you are! If you find yourself struggling to develop a fan base in may social media platform out there, creating a short story can introduce you to your audience without the time devoted to a longer work such as a full-length novel which can take up to a year to write. Using the right tools, you can even create an interactive short story in video-alike animated form. The best price to entice someone into reading your work is FREE. In this economy, people are looking for the lowest price possible so keeping your short stories free and charging only for full-length novels is the way to go. Behaviour of the reader in reading are getting shorter, try to create your written story in bellow 3mins reading time could get you more readers in general.

Another reason for this trend is to show the range in your literary works. A shorter work can allow the creator to show their type of genre with variety. Since there is less time invested, more works can be created. A creator can show that their characters and storylines are indeed diverse. So, don't make the same type of story. Mix up scenarios, point of views, and archetypical characters.

About Facebook Stories - form or interactive short story format

Stories creation and consumption is up 842% since they launched in early 2016, and Facebook expected sharing via Stories to surpass sharing through feeds in 2019.

In Facebook’s report, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “Stories is a big part of the future of video sharing, which is why we’re all in on it across our family.”

with Instagram,  in late 2017 there are more than 300 million people watched Instagram Stories daily. I'm not sure how much growth it is now especially with the current covid-19 situation. I personally believe it should surpass at least double the previous number at around 700mil daily.
