Yarn Painting Punch Needle Embroidery (view video)
This is a kind of embroidery that was brought in from Europe to Malaysia. Carpets made in ancient times are often done with similar technique. Through Herohand detailed tutorials, you will learn the tips and tricks on how to produce super textured and fluffy fibre artwork like the ones you see on Instagram with this embroidery technique.

Founded by sister duo, Herohand knows how difficult it is to find the right clutch for the right outfit, therefore with this activity, you will be able to produce a versatile clutch to be used for any occasions. They are also the first one who introduces this craft to Malaysians. For this activity, Herohand encourages makers to upcycle their old clothes or extra fabric at home and produce their very own one-of-a-kind clutch. The retail price of this popular clutch is around RM300-400, and you can make your own for less than RM 100!

This is also called "fluid painting", a fail-proof abstract art making technique. It allows people who are not confident in expressing themselves through art or inexperienced in painting to create beautiful homemade paintings, each painting will be one-of-a-kind, amazing end results guaranteed!
One of the strengths of craft practice is that it can be a solitary activity, while also connecting with a broader sense of community. At this point in the COVID-19 cycle, it is not so much a case of people wanting to calm down, rather it is more of a transference of pent up energy. Craft, and the socialisation it can bring, has proven to be another avenue “out”.
